Plate makers require UV in the 365nm to 390nm range to burn printing plates. Carbon rod arc used to be the standard in this industry up until new metal hallide lamps offered better output in a safer environment without the dangerous by products ;such as smoke and ozone.
Most of the governments are also imposing bans on some of the carbon arc use for worker safety.
We developed a number of UV lamp modules for this purpose. The existing equipment may be retrofitted with new quartz metal hallide UV lamp modules.
Each lamp module requires a power pack to operate.
Each module requires a lamp, reflector, instant strike ignitor cooling fan, pyrex filter and housing . optional infrared, visible light blocking filters are available and preferable for cool substrate.
Each power pack contains; ballast, contactor, timer, totalizer type hour counter, contactor, power factor correction capacitor and an adjustable time delay relay for fan aftercooling for easy starts of a hot lamp with damaging the lamp ignitor combination.
Modules:
1) 450 Watt
2) 1000 Watt
3) 1200 Watt
4) 1500 Watt
5) 2000 Watt
For a complete unit ; we can offer you all custom sizes to your needs with a number of the modules listed above along with a glass cover and an air vacuum unit. The equipment is for table top operation. Input voltage is 208/220/240 Volts AC, 50/60 Hz. If you would like to distribute in your area we can private label for you for minimum quantities of 25 units at a time. |
